French borders are now open to all Indian students, researchers and “talent passport” holders, without any vaccination requirements. Anyone wishing to travel to France on these grounds can submit their visa applications at VFS centres and their visa will be issued accordingly.

If you are not vaccinated, a negative result for a PCR test carried out less than 72 hours before departure or a negative antigen test carried out less than 48 hours before departure must be presented to the transport company and the border control authorities.

To prepare for your studying journey to France, the Embassy will organize Pre-departure sessions in August (16, 18 and 20). The event ‘Bienvenue en France’, will take place online and is open to all students and their families.

These virtual sessions will provide useful information about administrative procedures to be completed while in France, teaching methods used in French educational institutions, and various inter-cultural aspects. Frequently asked questions on accommodation and other aspects of cultural and daily life in France will be answered by our team.

You will also get the opportunity to interact with fellow students as well as Alumni who’ve been there and know exactly what to do.
