The Core Program is the Camargo Foundation’s flagship residency. It welcomes leading artists, scholars, and thinkers to Cassis for six to eleven weeks at Camargo. They support groundbreaking research, experimentation, and interdisciplinary approaches in the Arts and Humanities.

Preethi Athreya is selected as one of the fellows for this fall’s Core Program organized by The Camargo Foundation at Cassis, France.

With a background in classical Indian dance, Preethi Athreya has been working within the Indian contemporary dance scene as a performer, choreographer, and facilitator. Her research project ‘A journal of compounded identities through a conversation with objects’ through a choreographic lens, looks at objects that speak to cultural and colonial heritage, embodying critical questions to our attachment to belongings, to the idea of belonging and to place.
