This year marks the Summer Olympics in Paris, a historic event being hosted in the city for the third time in modern Olympic history. Sporting activities are being coordinated not only by the Alliance française network but also by French schools throughout India. A diverse array of initiation sessions and competitions are being hosted across our Indian network. Notably, students from Lycée français international de Delhi engaged in a discovery workshop on March 14th to commemorate the inclusion of breakdancing as an Olympic sport.

In support of universal access to sports, French-learning students from all corners of India participated in an IFI-organized video-making contest addressing inclusivity in sports.

Furthermore, recognizing the profound cultural impact of sports, the cultural programs of the French Institute and Alliances françaises are giving special prominence to sports this year.

As we anticipate the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, numerous events are scheduled across India.
