The Institut français Paris and the Cité internationale des arts are pleased to announce the launch of the new call for applications for their joint residency program in Paris.

This program is intended for artists and cultural professionals of all nationalities, who have been living outside France for at least five years and wish to develop a research and creative project during a 3-, 6- or 9-month residency, between April 2026 and April 2027.

The residency is open to a wide range of disciplines, including:

  • Visual arts, photography, comics
  • Architecture, urban planning, landscape
  • Performing arts (dance, theatre, circus, puppetry)
  • Music (all genres), cinema, literature
  • Design, fashion, graphic arts
  • Gastronomy, crafts, digital creation (video games, VR), curating and art criticism

Residents will be hosted at the Cité internationale des arts, Marais site, Paris, in fully furnished studio apartments including a working space, kitchenette, bathroom, and WiFi access.

Each selected artist must be supported by an associate partner responsible for covering international travel, providing a monthly living allowance of at least €1,000, ensuring appropriate health and civil liability insurance, and assisting with visa arrangements.

This residency offers a unique opportunity to live and work in central Paris, while engaging with a vibrant international community of artists.
