Born in 1976, ALFRED came into the world with a singular passion: telling stories through drawings. Entirely self-taught, he began publishing with Éditions Delcourt in 1997. However, in 2000, David Chauvel encouraged him to explore new graphic and narrative directions with Octave, a children’s series.

In 2004, ALFRED fulfilled a long-held dream by adapting Roland Topor’s novel Café Panique. A year later, in collaboration with Olivier Ka, he created Pourquoi j’ai tué Pierre, a comic strip that won the Prix du Public and Prix Essentiel at the Angoulême International Comics Festival in 2007.

In addition to being a musician and actor, ALFRED is something of an adventurer. He moved to Venice for three years, where he likely found the inspiration for Come Prima, which won the prestigious Fauve d’Or at the 2014 Angoulême International Comics Festival.

ALFRED is also the author of other works, including Maltempo, Senso, Castelmaure, and Le Désespoir du Singe.
