The French Institute in India partners for the first time with the Museum of Goa (MOG) for the Festival of Ideas!
The Festival of Ideas is the new avatar of the Night of Ideas, an annual event organized by the French cultural network all around the world, from Tokyo to Toronto, San Francisco to Sydney.

The Festival of Ideas – We Are the Ocean precedes the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC), which France is co-organizing with Costa Rica in Nice (from the 9th to the 13th of June 2025).
With this major global event, France aims to mobilize international support for ocean protection, in the same way it did for climate change in 2015.

It will kick off on May 4th with an afternoon of lively debates and engaging conversations around the future of our oceans.

Tidal Echoes (2020) by Nicolas Michel

Tidal Echoes is an immersive installation that blends visual abstraction with real field recordings, aiming to capture the essence of the seaside landscape. Inspired by Impressionist painters, it employs generative processes to create ever-evolving visuals reminiscent of ocean waves. Each visual element is meticulously crafted through complex algorithms, creating a fluid and dynamic representation of the marine environment.
