Lycée Français International de Chennai (LFIC) is a not-for-profit educational institution dedicated to providing high-quality, inclusive, and affordable French international education in Chennai. Established in 2024, the school is committed to empowering a new generation of globally minded, plurilingual citizens and fostering cultural exchange between India and France.
LFIC is accredited by the Agence pour l’Enseignement Français à l’Étranger (AEFE), further strengthening its adherence to international standards of French education. The school currently operates from three dedicated classrooms within the campus of JS Global School (JSGS), a respected Cambridge-curriculum institution in Chennai, with whom LFIC maintains a close partnership. This collaboration enables LFIC students to benefit from shared resources, facilities, and immersion classes, enriching their education through cross-cultural and cross-curricular interactions.
LFIC’s pedagogical approach is rooted in the principles of inclusivity, innovation, and academic excellence. The school offers mixed-age group learning, leveraging the advantages of peer mentoring, differentiated instruction, and social development. Special emphasis is placed on supporting students with diverse learning needs, ensuring that all children—regardless of background or ability—have access to quality education.
LFIC is also deeply committed to environmental responsibility and social inclusion, integrating these values into its daily operations and long-term vision. Its activities are designed not only to benefit students and staff but also to positively impact the broader Chennai community.
