We are excited to present the India tour of To Da Bone, a groundbreaking performance by (LA)Horde and the Ballet National de Marseille, that delves into the intimate revolts of youth and the transformative power of movement.
Set in a world where revolutions ignite at night and laws are voted by day, To Da Bone explores the new forms rebellion can take in the age of social media. Drawing inspiration from the Hardstyle movement and “post-internet” dance forms, the performance highlights dynamic styles such as Jumpstyle, Tekstyle, Shuffle, and Hakken.

The Conception
Jumpstyle, in particular, takes center stage as a highly intense, physically demanding dance. With sequences lasting approximately 25 seconds, Jumpstyle embodies a release of energy, frustration, and defiance, creating a powerful visual and emotional experience. Often beginning as a private practice filmed in bedrooms and shared online, Jumpstyle grows into a communal art form through virtual battles, real-world meetups, and collective performances in public spaces.
To Da Bone not only brings these electrifying styles to the stage but also reflects on the role of social media platforms like YouTube and Facebook in mobilizing crowds and creating opposition movements. This unique work bridges the virtual and physical, capturing the journey of dance from individual expression to a collective act of rebellion.
