On November 21, we honor International French Teachers’ Day, a celebration of the incredible dedication of educators who bring the French language to life.
The Embassy of France and the French Institute in India salute those who devote themselves daily to teaching French, sharing not just a language but also a rich culture, universal values, and a deep passion with their students.
Established in 2019, International French Teachers’ Day recognizes the vital role of French educators worldwide.
In India, the community of French teachers is estimated at around 5,000 professionals, including nearly 400 within the Alliance Française network.
To support these educators throughout their professional journey, we offer a diverse range of training opportunities:
- Language scholarships
- Pedagogical training sessions
- Examiner-corrector training for DELF exams
- Certification courses
- Pedagogical scholarships in France
- The annual Regional Pedagogical University
