Serendipity Arts Residency

Residency brief

Serendipity Arts is a cultural organization established in 2016 that facilitates pluralistic cultural expressions, sparking conversations about the arts across the South Asian region. Among its major programmes is the Serendipity Arts Residency, an intensive studio-based residency for emerging artists working across all disciplines, including a broad range of forms, such as movement-based practices, theatre- and writing-based practices, as well as artists engaged in installation, sound or other innovative media.

Serendipity Arts Residency seeks to provide its participants space and resources to develop their artistic practice, work on a new project and interact with the broader art community in New Delhi. Serendipity Arts will also provide assistance in the implementation of the artist’s projects, supply technical infrastructure, and build publicity for events organized around the residency. It will also help residents contact curators, artists, critics, gallery owners, workshop facilitators, etc., they are keen to reach out to. The residency then becomes a platform for artists to build networks and interact with professional possibilities within the art world.
