Writer and Translator
As a writer and translator from a Kashmiri Pandit family exiled in 1990, I explore migration and separation. My project combines the personal histories of four generations of Kashmiri Pandit women with Kashmiri oral history. The book aims to preserve and translate their erased songs and stories, examining how language affects trauma and memory, and contributing to the scholarship on Kashmir and its women.
