Marie Gastini lives and works in Paris. She is a resident of the artist collective Les Ateliers du Wonder. After studying Design Textile and a year at the Milan Academy of Fine Arts, she graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in 2019. She worked for several years in the women's ready-to-wear studio of Hermès as a knitwear designer, before devoting herself to her practice as a visual artist. Her practice is rooted in the decorative arts, through and the misappropriation of domestic objects, practices and customs that reflect the work of the hand.
