My movement toward comics making was propelled by a strong feeling that the exhibition and gallery space was limited in its outreach whereas comics have a far wider reach. I am looking forward to exploring a new comics milieu and to understanding how independent comics artists and collectives work in France.
Lokesh Khodke is an independent artist, comics creator, and art educator based in New Delhi. He has published comics and illustrated children's books. Lokesh co-founded BlueJackal, an indie platform for comics, picture books, and zines, and co-organizes the Indie Comix Fest, Delhi edition. He is also the Director of Education at ArtFirst Foundation, working with children, university students, and school teachers across India.
