Juliette Armagnac

Author and Illustrator

I need distance from my daily life to dedicate quality time to my project centered on feral children. I would like it to evolve in confrontation with Madhya Pradesh’s cultural landscape and way of life, particularly through encounters. I would appreciate working with children, asking for their point of view and help — why not through shooting workshops or exploring moments of natural and cultural heritage. I hope the residency at the Eklavya Foundation will carry me further than my first idea.

Juliette Armagnac was born in 1981 with a pencil in hand—as her family likes to say. She studied graphic arts and theatre in Paris before returning to live in her house surrounded by nature. For the past 20 years, she has been creating images using a variety of tools (photography, painting, puppets, street collages) for children's books, graphic novels, and numerous other projects focused on cultural heritage, environment, and collective creativity. She has worked with french publishers such as Le Seuil jeunesse, Zulma, Talents hauts, Milan, Syros, Arphilvolis, Édite-moi, Où sont les enfants ? and she is actually engaged with Dupuis for a graphic novel to be published in 2026.
