Ainesh Madan

Dancer and Choreographer

My focus is on the themes of dislocation and relocation, drawing from my experiences living in various cities and managing a physical challenge. CN D offers a chance to explore these themes through movement and dance in Paris and Pantin. I aim to immerse myself in the French dance scene, choreograph, research, and collaborate with diverse artists to refine my artistic voice and build meaningful connections.

Ainesh Madan is a Bangalore-based dance artist and co-founder of the 206 Dance Collective. He holds a BA in Dance and Economics from Bard College. His solo work Phantasies earned him the Emergency Grant from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts. Ainesh has been a resident at Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan and received the ThinkArts Grant for a children’s project inspired by Smeagol/Gollum. He is currently working on Betwixt & Between, funded by the March Dance grant from Basement21.
